This is some fact about Exo
EXO debuted with 12 members in 2012 and released their 1st full-length album "XOXO(Kiss&Hug)" earlier this month on June 2013. "Wolf" is the main track of their June album. It's a dance song that incorporates dub step and hip-hop.The power beat are paired with witty lyric about a lonely wolf who falls in love with a beautiful girl. As you guys known their new pictures with wearing Number '88' were on their tops.
I was curious why it is the number ‘88’ and I did a little search and found out that the number ‘88’ is actually used in Morse code and amateur radio users to mean ‘hugs and kisses’.
The number ‘88’ also stands for ‘HH’ = hip hop in hip hop terms.
While I was doing a little research about the number ‘88’ on EXO’s tops, I found out something as well. There’s actually two species of butterflies in the world called ‘eighty-eights’ because of the markings on their wings that looks like the number ‘88’, namely ‘Diaethria’ and ‘Callicore’.
Since there were two kinds of such butterflies, I was thinking maybe SM would incorporate it into their concept, making the butterflies represent EXO-K and EXO-M.And then I remembered that one of EXO’s rumoured new songs is called ‘Butterfly’.
As seen in EXO‘s group photo, the photo is in black and white and the number on their jerseys is 88. In the pre-debut photo of Kris with his high school basketball team, which is also in black and white, Kris is wearing a jersey with the number 8. Notice that in the description under Kris‘ individual teaser photo, it states that his future dream is being a basketball player. The future is unfolding, my friends… It is happening.Hahaha! Notice that in EXO‘s group photo, their jerseys also have “Wolf” written on them, which means that Wolf might be their comeback song.
